Do I need weight scale?

Do I need to “jump” on the scale every day?

If you looking for short answers, then is NO. To both of them. Continue reading, if you would like to know why I think that.

Let me ask you quick question: is weight scale your only idea to track your progress? If your answer is YES, I will tell you they are others. Often more effective, accurate and also cheaper.

First one is tailor measure tape. Very inexpensive and great tracking tool. All you need to do is check you circumstance waist and thigh. I would strongly recommend you to keep on tracking at least those two. Of course if you would like to be more precise, then you can add hip (around your “bum”) and upper arm. I wouldn’t advise checking it more often than every two weeks. Ideally you should do it same time of the day (ideally morning). Soon enough you would have clear picture of your progress.

Another great way of tracking would be taking “selfies”. I know what are you thinking now…not the kind of selfies you can see all over the social media, so no filters or any king of “Instagram magic”. As raw as they can be.  You will have to ideally where the same clothing (even underwear), don’t worry, they are only for you, so one will see it. Again, not more often than every two weeks, same way like above.

Third way, by far the most budget friendly. All you need is that pair of old jeans. You know the one that don’t fit anymore. Come on….we all having those ☺. The rest is simple, you will use them like measure tape. That all.

Of course, I’m not trying to say “get rid of your scale now!”….it still might serve it purpose. All I’m trying to say is there is more to it. Also great idea is combining two above methods. Like measure tape and scale, for example.

For those one whom still are not convince and still leaning towards only scale: remember one thing….pound of fat is 5 times bigger than pound of lean muscle. Saying that, pound is still a pound and number on your scale will remain the same.

So go ahead and use your new weapons to become better you.
